What is hardware and software?

Before answering that question, let's see the following scheme

We know that a computer is very useful for our lives. Computers can be used to communicate with other computers. Everything there is certainly a basis or foundation to build. Same with a computer that has a foundation to build.

The picture above is the main component of computers and the major hardware components. It can be seen that the main component of a computer is hardware, software, and brainware.

Hardware is a component of computer that can be seen and touched physically. The following are examples of hardware

• Input unit : Hardware is used to enter (input) instruction from the computer user. An example is the Keyboard, Mouse, and Joystick.

• Processing unit : Hardware is located on a computer to process the input from the user. An example is the processor in a computer. 

• Output unit : Hardware is used to generate a process (output) from the computer user. An example is the Monitor, Speaker, and Printer.

Software is the data contained in a computer and then stored digitally formatted. You could say that the software is a component that does not look physically, but contained in a computer. Examples of software are:

• Operating System: Software that is used to connect the hardware to the user
• Software Application: A software that can be applied to meet the needs of users. An example is a software package of office applications such as Microsoft Office 

All it will not work if it does not brainware or user. Brainware is people who use or operate a computer.

Toshiba Folio

Toshiba's new tablet showcased at IFA Folio told reporters last month. Folio with 10.1-inch screen it is intended to compete with the iPad, through a visual experience similar to Apple iPad.
